The Role
As the Design Studio Office Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our courier services, office environment and retail environment. As an organised and collaborative person, you’ll have the natural ability to provide dedicated support across all teams and be committed to creating a consistently excellent experience for our clients and your colleagues across every touchpoint.

Responsibilities
Your key areas of responsibility will include:
- Management of our couriers, including packaging, email liaison, and organisation to ensure we are providing an exceptional shipping experience for our customers, both domestically and internationally.Â
- Office administration tasks including, maintaining company records, managing stocks of office supplies and packaging.
- Facilities management including keeping our office environment tidy and facilitating contractors
- Working closely with the retail team to provide administrative support for email management, gemstone and jewellery photography for clients, taking phone calls and be on the store floor as backup to the sales team in busy moments.Â
Get your foot in the door of an international, award-winning jewellery design hub and we will support you to develop your knowledge and skills base to grow your industry knowledge and capability.Â
This role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at The Village Goldsmith Design Hub, 78 Victoria Street in downtown Wellington. It is not suitable for WFH.Â
About you ...Â
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with the capability to multitask effectively, work proactively and independently
- Have a keen eye for detail and manage tasks with care and precision
- Are a naturally curious person and a problem solver, knowing how to collaborate and influence to get things done in a fast-paced team environment with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Possess good Microsoft Office skills and have a natural ability with software to work with digital tools
- Excel at building genuine relationships with teammates and providing exceptional functional expertise and support Â
- Proven experience in retail or customer service roles, demonstrating exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have a creative, strategic mind with an interest in working in the jewellery industry
- Enjoy a dynamic role with lots of variety that keeps you on your toes
