Bespoke Emerald and Diamond Engagement Ring for Anna & Matt
Matt and his fiancée, Anna, knew they wanted to incorporate Anna's grandmother's ring into a bespoke engagement ring for Anna. They were inspired by an antique, Georgian-styled ring which was the perfect way to honour the past while also capturing their own story.
Anna is the founder of Francie - known for luxurious and thoughtfully designed knitwear that is ethically made with longevity in mind. The couple's deep appreciation of quality, craftsmanship and locally-made aligned beautifully with The Village Goldsmith's ethos.
When designing the ring, soft curves and inset gemstones were essential not only to achieving the desired look, but with the added benefit of not catching on the fine fibres Anna works with and wears every day. After the couple approved the design, Steph, one of our expert jewellers, handcrafted a new band and setting from gold melted down from Anna's heirloom ring. Adrian, our master gemstone setter, carefully set the stunning cabochon emerald and diamonds onto the band.
